Cancellation & Refunds Policy

Overview

At TheProfession (operated by OpNex OPC Pvt Ltd), we want you to be fully satisfied with your subscription. This policy outlines our cancellation and refund procedures for all subscription plans and services purchased on our platform.

Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Logging into your account and navigating to Settings → Subscription
  • Clicking "Cancel Subscription" and following the prompts
  • Emailing us at hello@theprofession.org with your request

Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent periods.

Refund Policy

7-Day Refund Window

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied with our services, provided you have not made extensive use of the premium features (defined as less than 3 AI-generated documents or mock interview sessions).

No Refund After 7 Days

After the 7-day window, we do not offer refunds for the current billing period. This is because our digital services are immediately accessible and consumed upon subscription activation.

Exceptions

Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • Technical issues that prevented access to the service for an extended period
  • Duplicate charges due to a payment processing error
  • Unauthorised transactions reported within 7 days

Annual Subscriptions

For annual subscription plans, a pro-rated refund may be issued for unused months if cancellation is requested within 30 days of purchase, subject to review. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable but will remain active until the end of the subscription period.

Recruiter Plans

Recruiter subscription plans follow the same 7-day refund policy. Job posting credits that have been used are non-refundable. Unused credits will be refunded on a pro-rata basis within the 7-day window.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at hello@theprofession.org with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Order/payment ID (found in your confirmation email)
  • Reason for the refund request

We will process your request within 5-7 business days. Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 7-10 business days depending on your bank.
